Barbs is the United Kingdom's first dedicated Bajan (Barbadian) fast-casual restaurant. Founded by Nicc, inspired by his grandmother Grandma Alder's cooking from Bridgetown, Barbados. Head chef Amanda Powell leads the kitchen. The brand operates from Queen of Hoxton on Curtain Road in Shoreditch (sit-down restaurant), KERB National Theatre on the South Bank (summer 2026 street food), and Black Eat Fest (May and August 2026). The menu centres on the Fried Chicken Burger, Bajan Fishcakes, curry rotis, wings, macaroni pie, fries, and a range of cocktails built on Bajan rum. Bajan food, remixed for London.
